Several years ago I kept a dream journal in which I recorded my dreams on a nightly basis. I had read some books on lucid dreaming, essentially the ability to be aware that you are dreaming while in the dream state and that had peaked my interest in the dream world. Anyway, after awhile I was able to be aware that I was dreaming while in the dream state and actually control my dreams to a certain extent. The fun part was attempting to manifest things, people and events in the dream state. Now, admittedly they didn't always manifest like I visualized and sometimes it was quite comical but still the fact remained that I was often aware that I was dreaming and was able to exert some control while in the dream state.

The difficult part of all this was training myself to program my mind to awake after a dream and record it. I eventually abandoned the dream journal after a couple of years because I found it sometimes difficult to get back to sleep after recording the dream. Anyway, one of the concepts of learning to be aware that you are dreaming while in the dream state is to tell yourself repeatedly before going to bed that you will be aware that you are dreaming while in the dream state.

Now, that same technique applies to discovering the answer to certain questions or the solution to certain problems you may have. In other words, if you are looking to an answer to a specific question or guidance in a certain area tell yourself prior to falling asleep that you will be given the solution to your question while in the dream state and that you will remember it when you awake. I encourage you to try it whenever you have a problem that is bothering you and see if you don't wake up with the answer.
