There is a great scene in the movie Dead Poet's Society in which Robin Williams, a teacher at an eastern prep school, has his class gather around a trophy case that has the pictures and names of students from years past, all long dead.

He wonders outloud if the students pictured lived the life of their dreams and were able to seize the day?

He then asks his current students what their life will bring and exhorts them to go after and create the life of their dreams.
